Happy birthday, Tommy Lee Jones! The legendary actor turns 70 today.
Born in September 1946, Tommy was raised in Texas by his parents Lucille and Clyde. The actor then moved to New York in the 19060s to professionally pursue an acting career. His first work came courtesy of Broadway when he debuted in A Patriot for Me in 1969 before he went to star in screen projects.
By the 1983, Tommy was well-known in Hollywood and had even received an Emmy for his work on Norman Miller’s The Executioner’s Song. He would go on to star in projects such as The Fugitive, Men in Black, Cobb, and No Country for Old Men.
The actor has also starred in a DC Comics adaptation as Tommy played Two-Face in Batman Forever. The film, which was directed by Tim Burton, saw Tommy take on the famed DC villain as he teams up with other characters like The Riddler.
Most recently, fans saw Tommy in cinemas when he reprised his role of Agent K in Men in Black 3. He also starred in Lincoln as Thaddeus Stevens and received an Oscar nomination for his work.
