Beginning in November, Heavy Metal Media has announced they will publish Narcopolis: Continuum, a four-issue miniseries based on the the upcoming UK sci-fi movie Narcopolis from T Squared Films.

Like the recently-announced Hitman 47 tie-in comic, Narcopolis: Continuum will expand the movie's universe into the comic book realm.

"A companion piece is the most accurate description," Duvall explained to The Hollywood Reporter. "Our goal was for the movie and the comic to each stand on their own. The movie is not required viewing to enjoy the comic, but if you've seen the movie, it will certainly enhance the experience as you'll catch nods to it as we weave in and out of the movie's plot."

The Narcopolis: Continuum creative team of writer Scott Duvall, line artist Ralf Singh, colorist Nicolas Chapuis, and letterer Taylor Esposito (of Ghost Glyph Studios) will be bringing the world of Narcopolis from screen to page in a stand-alone story that spins out of the film's premise and develops the characters further.

A digital release of Narcopolis: Continuum #1 will arrive in September on the heels of the film's debut, followed by a print release in November.

The futuristic thriller stars Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci's Demons), Elodie Yung (Marvel's Daredevil), James Callis (Battlestar Galactica), Jonathan Pryce (Pirates of the Caribbean), Robert Bathurst (Downton Abbey), and Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones). Narcopolis is the debut feature film of writer/director Justin Trefgarne that imagines a world in which all classes of drugs have been legalized. IFC Midnight acquired the US distribution rights with a release set for late September.
