Injured Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Stuntwoman's Arm Has To Be Amputated

Olivia Jackson, one of the stunt doubles on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, will lose her arm following a motorcycle accident on set.

Jackson spent two weeks in a medically-induced coma following an accident with a metal camera arm, according to Yahoo! Movies, but is now conscious and aware that her arm will need to be amputated.

“2 weeks in a coma, brain bleed, brain swelling, severed main artery in the neck, crushed & degloved face, several broken ribs, paralyzed arm, shattered scapula, broken clavicle, broken humerus, broken radius & ulna, with an open wound and a 7.5 piece of bone missing, amputated thumb, torn fingers, 5 nerves torn out of the spinal cord…. not my funnest day on set,” Jackson is quoted as writing in a Facebook post.

Besides Resident Evil, Jackson has recently worked as a stunt performer on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Guardians of the Galaxy and Mad Max: Fury Road.
