iZombie Has a Pulse, Renewed For Second Season

izombieraviiZombie, the fan-favorite CW based on Chris Roberson and Mike Allred's Vertigo comic, has been renewed for a second season.

The series debuted earlier this year as a midseason replacement series for the network, and airs following its its fellow DC Comics adapation The Flash on Tuesday nights.

Developed for television by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero of Veronica Mars fame, the series stars Rose McIver as a med student who attended a party and ended up infected with a virus that transformed her into the walking dead. Forced to consume human brains to keep from turning into a mindless, shambling monster, she goes to work helping the coroner (Rahul Kohli) and a police detective (Malcolm Goodwin) solve crimes using psychic impressions she gets by eating the brains of murder victims.
