Yesterday, Latino Review reported that Marvel is eyeing Transporter star Jason Statham to play the can't-miss assassin Bullseye for season 2 of Netflix's Daredevil. Today, a report claims that negotiations have fallen apart due in large part to that information leaking out.

"He was legitimately in heavy negotiations for the role and the leak killed it," Bloody-Disgusting is reporting. "Perhaps his agent saw the positive uproar and instantly upped the actor's asking fee? Perhaps the studio spotted the same excited reaction and preemptively killed the deal out of fear of Statham's management going for more money? Who knows. The bottom line is that yesterday the Crank star was at the top of the list and deep in negotiations and today Marvel has moved on to other pastures."

Marvel and Statham always seemed like an odd pairing especially when you factor in the 47-year-old's recent comments regarding the superhero genre. "You slip on a cape and you put on the tights and you become a superhero?," Statham told The Guardian this week while promoting Spy. "They're not doing anything! They're just sitting in their trailer. It's absolutely, 100% created by stunt doubles and green screen. How can I get excited about that?"

It's time to let the devil out. Marvel's Daredevil is here to clean up the streets of Hell's Kitchen, New York. Lawyer by day, street-level hero by night, Matt Murdock is on a mission to make his city a better place against an underground terror within the city.

A second season of Netflix's Daredevil will arrive in 2016!
