The voice of one of Star Wars: the Empire Strikes Back's most popular characters has passed away. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jason Wingreed, who voiced Boba Fett, died in his home on Christmas Day.

Wingreen was 95 years old at the time of his death, and he had a long career as a character actor that stretched far beyond Star Wars. Some of Wingreen's other roles included playing Harry the bartender on All in the Family, a Chicago police captain on The Untouchables, a train conductor on The Twilight Zone, and Dr. Linke on Star Trek.

In fact, IMDB lists over 200 credits for Wingreen. For The Empire Strikes Back, Wingreen initially auditioned for the part of Yoda, before landing the Boba Fett role. Wingreen did not initially receive credit for his role, and it was only revealed in 2000 that he was the voice of Boba Fett.

Wingreen is survived by his son, two grandchildren, and his sister.
