Those who cried when they heard of a seventh installment of the Star Wars franchise (you know who you are!) are not alone.

Lead actor of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, John Boyega, cried when he read the Episode VII script.

"When I read the script I cried, and I'm not really a big crier," Boyega told GQ. "I'm more like a frog-in-the- throat kind of guy, who'll try to hold it in and make sure I don't let it all out."

Boyega, who says he was tossed into a grueling seven month audition process for the part of Finn before being launched into worldwide super-stardom, has a lot of confidence in his character. "Finn is dope. His story is so epic," Boyega explained. "It's a story that's never been seen before, but it also mirrors the stories of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. And he's quirky and charismatic and funny. For me, he was the best character in the script."

Let's hope his confidence built on a good foundation! We're all very much looking forward to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where many of us will see Boyega's acting abilities for the first time.

The Force Awakens unleashes in theaters December 18, 2015.
