Jumanji Reimagining Could Include Dwayne Johnson And Kevin Hart

Variety is reporting that Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are in talks to be in a new adaptation of the Robin Williams classic Jumanji.

While it is still early, sources close to the project are saying that it's only a matter of time before a deal is worked out. Both actors seem to be primed to do it, but because of their high demand, the biggest issue facing this project getting made is time.

Johnson, who is currently shooting Baywatch, has Fast & Furious 8 and the third season of Ballers on his plate but does have some time this year due to his film Rampage getting pushed. Hart, however, doesn't have the same opening, as The Untouchables remake is shooting during that same time-frame.

Still, the pairing could be very fruitful, and Director Jake Kasdan is already attached. The updated Jumanji is pegged to release on July 28, 2017.
