A new report from The Tracking Board suggests that Warner Bros. is forging ahead with the film adaptation of Justice League Dark, formally titled Dark Universe, with new producer Scott Rudin. The studio is looking to start production in 2016.

The movie lost Guillermo del Toro as its director, but del Toro will remain as a producer.

Justice League Dark was a New 52 launch title from DC Comics. The series featured a magically inclined team of characters – including John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, and others – dealing with arcane threats in the DC Universe. The team was initially formed after the Enchantress went mad and took out the Justice League, leaving Earth defenseless.

Rudin's latest film in Steve Jobs. His upcoming projects include Zoolander 2 and The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter.
