Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige knows the value of talking about the future of his franchises. After all, this is the guy who announced the entirety of Phase 3 in the middle of Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He's the guy who reportedly has a loose plan for Phase 4 and even 5, with some reports and rumors saying as far as 2024 on a general schedule. So when Kevin Feige tells you to slow down, yeah, it's time to slow down.

When asked by MTV at the Avengers: Age of Ultron DVD release event about possible Spider-Man spin-offs, Feige took a surprisingly measured approach.

"Well, there could be [spin-offs]," Feige told MTV. "But the truth is, our job right now is that single Spider-Man movie based in the MCU. And that's where all our focus is."

It's probably good to hear for some fans who are concerned about the third attempt at a solo franchise for the character in fifteen years. Feige is clearly excited about having Spider-Man in the MCU, as he expressed during the general Q&A.

"On a personal level making these movies, it means a lot because I think we can do great things with Spider-Man, I think Spider-Man can serve great purpose in our universe and that's where he belongs," Feige said to assembled press. He said his uniqueness can only really be seen when played against the other heroes of the Marvel universe.

As for some spin-off ideas, Feige and producer Jeremy Latcham do think the idea of a Spider-Gwen film is "cool." Feige likes her in the funny pages, saying, "I think Spider-Gwen in the comics is cool." They had not, however, seen the fan trailer made featuring Emma Stone, and again, they're focused on the solo Spidey movie for now.
