Kevin Smith is reteaming with his Spoilers With Kevin Smith partners at Halfire-CORE Entertainment to develop a comedy, Prons, in partnership with Canadian pay TV channels The Movie Network and Movie Central, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The sitcom, written by Smith and Saving Hope's Aaron Martin, portrays a famous porn star who returns to his childhood home in Ontario to escape the business.

Spoilers moved to Canadian TV in its second season after it wasn't picked up again by Hulu, the streaming service that ran its first season. Smith had previous experience on Canadian TV, having directed a two-episode mini-arc on Degrassi High which was released on home video as Jay and Silent Bob Do Degrassi.

Prons is reportedly part of an extensive development slate at The Movie Network, which includes a police procedural spoof called Method from Saving Hope producers Ilana Frank, David Wellington and Sonia Hosko.
