Kick-Ass 2: New Hit-Girl Trailer Released

, due out in theaters this summer, is actually a blend of two comic book series in one film. Adapating both Kick-Ass 2 and the Hit-Girl miniseries, it's always been safe to say that a good chunk of the movie would focus on Chloe Grace Moretz's breakout character. So here we are: the first Hit-Girl-centered trailer for the new movie hangs some of the film's success squarely on her shoulders, playing back and forth between her school life and her life as Hit-Girl, to which she escapes in her mind because that's where she's more confident. Incorporating the photo at left and the footage of Hit-Girl's sparring match also seen in recently-released production stills and featuring the sure-to-be-quoted-around-high-schools line "This 15-year-old girl just owned your ass," the trailer gives a sense for where they're hoping to go with the character, who if they follow the source material quickly has quite an interesting arc in this second film.
