Marvel Comics have announced the official start date for Kick-Ass 3, the final chapter in Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr.'s ultra-violent teen superhero saga. The comic, which is set to be adapted into a film to close out Universal Studios' Kick-Ass trilogy, will reportedly feature an all-new villain and a "realistic" ending to Kick-Ass's story. "I can't believe how well and how fast this is going. Normally, if something is going quickly it's a great sign," Millar recently wrote. I'm really having a lot of fun with this. It's Return of the Jedi, the upbeat third part. But my God it's a lot of fun to write." The issue will ship with a standard cover (seen at right) by co-creator and series John Romita, Jr. Variant covers by Adam Hughes, Pasqual Ferry, Marc Silvestri, Cully Hamner and Adam Kubert--you can see a couple of those (Ferry and Hamner's) below, along with the solicitation information for the issue.
