Legendary Marvel Artist Herb Trimpe To Work On Savage Dragon #200

Legendary Incredible Hulk artist Herb Trimpe will pencil one backup story in Savage Dragon #200 and then ink a second by series creator Erik Larsen, Larsen announced via Twitter last night.

Larsen, who has often held up Trimpe as one of his favorite artists, explained that his first comic book issue was drawn by Trimpe and said that working with the veteran artist is a "dream come true."

Larsen will also ink the backup story penciled by Trimpe.

The hope is to trade off backups with Herb Trimpe for Savage Dragon 200. I'll ink his pencils and we'll ink mine. Among others of course.

If all goes according to schedule, Savage Dragon #200 should be out by the end of 2014. Savage Dragon #198 has been completed and Larsen is talking about attempting an issue made up exclusively of double-page splashes for #199.
