Liam Neeson Dark Knight Rises

It's been long suspected that Liam Neeson would be appearing in The Dark Knight Rises, and now it's been confirmed by Warner Bros. In the production notes for Wrath of the Titans, Warner Bros. revealed, "Neeson next appears in Peter Berg's actioner Battleship, and he also will be seen in Christopher Nolan's much-anticipated action thriller The Dark Knight Rises." Of course, Liam Neeson played Ra's Al Ghul in Batman Begins, and he apparently died in a train crash at the end of that movie. Does this mean that Ra's Al Ghul somehow escaped death? Not necessarily, as it's very possible that Liam Neeson could just be appearing in a flashback scene. In fact, an interview he gave to CNN seems to suggest that he will have a very minor role in the film, which gives credence to the possibility of his appearance being a flashback.  When asked about the Dark Knight Rises, Neeson said, "I have no idea what the story is about. Nothing. Nothing. Seriously, I'm not sure if I'm still in it. It's a cameo – let's put it that way – if it still survives." Of course if Neeson has a cameo as Ra's Al Ghul, does that mean his daughter Talia will be the Dark Knight Rises mystery villain? Actress Joey King let slip sometime back that she would be playing a young Talia Al Ghul. It would seem likely that Liam Neeson might be appearing in a flashback scene involving young Talia, rather than returning from the dead.
