Man of Steel error

Fans who pre-purchased Man of Steel on Blu-Ray at Wal-Mart stores this week should re-enter their redemption codes to ensure that the film was credited to their Vudu account online, after the system experienced a temporary configuration error and was unable to properly credit the promotion to user accounts. ComicBook.com became aware of the error after attempting to redeem a pair of codes, neither of which worked. Attempts to contact Vudu or Wal-Mart support last night failed but this morning they responded asking the details of the transactions. By the time support--only available via e-mail and Twitter, not telephone--had all the pertinent details, the larger issue had been fixed. "The issue should be correct. Please try again. Thanks!" We were told. "There was a configuration issue that has been resolved." Vudu is the Wal-Mart-owned streaming digital service that serves as part of the UltraViolet digital sytem studios like Warner Bros., Disney and Sony participate in. Like Iron Man 3 before it, Man of Steel had a special deal with Wal-Mart stores that allowed fans to pay a little over $25 to get an exclusive Blu-Ray combo pack when the movie goes up for sale in November. The pack includes exclusive behind-the-scenes content, a motion comic of the Man of Steel Prequel and a digital copy of the film that will download to your account two weeks before the movie is officially released. It also comes with a lenticular magnet about the size of the Blu-Ray's cover that alternates between two early pieces of Man of Steel poster art.
