Fandango said, "Man of Steel is outselling all previous summer 2013 movies at the same point in the sales cycle." Considering that summer 2013 releases so far include Iron Man 3, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Fast & Furious 6, the fact that Man Of Steel is outselling those three movies is a pretty impressive feat. All three of those movies were sequels in established franchises, which means advance tickets sales would be expected to be high. Man Of Steel is the first movie in relaunching the Superman franchise, so it's a very good sign that early interest is so high. Also, early buzz indicates that Man Of Steel might wind up being the best reviewed of all the summer 2013 blockbusters so far. If Man Of Steel opens well, and it gets good reviews from critics and audiences, then Warner Bros. could have a real shot at dethroning Iron Man 3 as the top summer 2013 movie.
