Veteran actor Laurence Fishburne, known for roles in everything from Apocalypse Now to The Matrix and CSI, has been a fascinating choice for the forthcoming Superman reboot Man of Steel since he was announced--hiring an actor of color to fill a traditionally-white role, Fishburne's casting alone drew criticism from some fans, excitement from some others and support from most becuase, well, he's Laurence Fishburne. One of a number of ancillary characters in the film with real star power, Fishburne joined ComicBook.com and a couple of other reporters for a brief Q&A on the red carpet of last night's World Premiere of the film. How exciting is it to be part of this huge franchise? It's very exciting. Yeah, very exciting. What do you think about the new costume? It's killer--killer. So you think it's better than the one with the spandex and the-- Don't you? How does it compare to other movies? You've done the gamut of blockbusters. Well, listen: I'm a big Zack Snyder fan. So when I heard he was directing, that made me jump at the chance to be in it. I'm a huge fan of all the movies that he has done based on graphic material--300, Watchmen...Sucker Punch was one of my favorite movies ever; I know I'm in the minority with that but I just think that movie is amazing. So I was just thrilled to be a part of this thing. If you could have any super power, what would it be? What do you mean "IF" I could have any super power? [Laughs]
