Mark Ruffalo Standalone Hulk Movie

This must be the week that everyone at Marvel Studios decided it was time to deny all the Hulk movie rumors. Earlier this week, director Joss Whedon called the rumors about a Planet Hulk movie nonsense, but he didn't deny the possibility of a stand alone Hulk movie. Today, Mark Ruffalo took it a step further and denied that any type of standalone Hulk movie is in the works. Via his official Twitter account, Mark Ruffalo said, "A lot of folks have been asking about the Next Hulk. The next time you see my Hulk it will be in the Avengers 2. No plans for stand alone." Mark Ruffalo also tweeted, "I am not giving up on another stand alone HULK. But it's not in the works right now. One never knows what the future will bring." However, when a fan tweeted, "There are so many rich Hulk stories in the comics waiting to be adapted into film! Planet Hulk, Crossroads, etc.," Mark Ruffalo replied, "I agree. There are a lot of places to go with Hulk. I have a feeling in time something will pan out." Ruffalo also offered up some praise for The Avengers director, tweeting, "I was really nervous about doing Banner/Hulk. I knew people had a lot of expectations about it but Josh Whedon nailed script."
