Marvel Gets Into the 52 Game

In what's difficult not to see as a jab at their competition, Marvel Comics has released a new teaser hinting at a major announcement involving the number "52" this morning. "Count on Marvel to always deliver," says the e-mail sent to reporters minutes ago, adding "cuts above the rest," with the image at right included. Whether this will tie into their Marvel #1 announcement from yesterday isn't specified, but seems likely--and given the cryptic nature of the announcements we're still guessing that they'll build to something throughout the week that they can announce next week ahead of the publisher's SXSW Interactive appearance.
