Marvel's New York Comic-Con Exclusives Unveiled

Marvel Comics has announced their New York Comic Con-exclusive releases for next weekend's show at the Javits Center in Manhattan. For $10 each, fans can get either a variant cover edition of Avengers vs. X-Men #12 (either by Billy Tan or Ryan Stegman--you pick), or a Spider-Man lithograph featuring "a top secret piece of art by one of Marvel's superstar artists." Expect that to tie into the anticipated reveal at the show of a Marvel NOW! Spider-Man title to replace The Amazing Spider-Man, which ends with December's #700. Each of the variants plays with football, casting The Avengers as the world champion New York Giants (that's timely, right?) and the X-Men as the Jets. $12 will get you our personal favorite--a Rocket Raccoon/Guardians of the Galaxy coffee mug with art by Joe Quesada. Or, for $20, you can get a t-shirt--either the "Battle of New York" poster that's available for sale through the Avengers DVD poster site or a mock-up t-shirt of what an album cover by the super-team might look like.
