Minority Report Pilot To Be Directed By Mark Mylod

A week after ordering the pilot for Minority Report, Fox has selected a director.

Deadline reports that Mark Mylod has been tapped to helm the first episode. The director is no stranger to series premieres as his credits include pilots for ABC's Once Upon a Time and Showtime's The Affair.

Minority Report is based on the 2002 movie of the same name directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise.

The new project is envisioned as a sequel to the movie. It is set 10 years after the end of Precrime in DC. One of the three Precogs struggles to lead a "normal" human life, but remains haunted by visions of the future, when he meets a detective haunted by her past who just may help him find a purpose to his gift.
