The opening rounds of ComicBook.Com's Multiversal March Madness continue! Though DC and Marvel Comics are breaking the piggy bank on their endless realities with events Convergence and Secret Wars later this spring, the bracket fever from the NCAA March Madness has our minds stuck on the tournament style crossover event.

Like we explained in our opening post, we're leaving to you to choose the winners in our own cross-company tournament. We're in throwing in a nifty secret prize for the players with a winning bracket. But enough chit-chat. It's time to get in the super-powered paint with the first round's combatants.

Crisis-Era DC Universe

Stats: From 1938 until 1985, DC Comics published comics where one massive, continuous multiverse was the chief world of interest. This is that world, where Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman were introduced and where the world -- particularly the Bat-family -- progressed and evolved significantly.

Strength: Some of the most powerful characters in DC's publishing history existed in the pre-Crisis and Crisis-era DC Universe, particularly among the extended Superman family, as Pre-Crisis Kryptonians were extraordinarily powerful.

Pre-Crisis Earth 4 (Charlton Universe)

Stats: The original home to characters like Blue Beetle, Peacemaker, The Huntress and Captain Atom, the world of Charlton Comics became part of the DC multiverse in the '80s, and the characters were introduced to the DC Universe proper during and after the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Strength: The Charlton characters were the inspiration for Watchmen, so not only are there obviously some great stories to be told there...but some pretty powerful characters as well.

Will Blue Beetle and Company reign supreme, or will the Silver Age stage a comeback? Decide in the poll below!
