Netflix Releases Stranger Things Themed Trollhunters Trailer

Netflix has really learned the science behind kids on bikes and hit series.

Two of the streaming service's most recent shows, Stranger Things and Trollhunters, revolve around young kids who find themselves in danger and quickly pedaling their bicycles on their way to being heroes. Now, the streaming service has unveiled a new trailer mashing up Stranger Things with Trollhunters.

In the trailer, the events of Trollhunters are highlighted and teased against the theme song and text and editing styles of Stranger Things. When you watch it, you'll see the two series are not too different -- both dealing with monsters, extra dimensions, and some weird young romance.

The voice cast of Trollhunters includes Anton Yelchin as Jim Lake Jr., Charlie Saxton as Toby, Kelsey Grammer as Blinky, Ron Perlman as Bular, Steven Yeun, Jonathan Hyde, Lexi Madrano, Amy Landecker, Fred Tatasciore, and Guillermo del Toro.

Trollhunters is an American and Mexican co-production, produced by Cha Cha Cha Films and Dreamworks Animation. The first two episodes of Trollhunters Season 1 are debuting at New York Comic Con 2016.

Rodrigo Blaas, Guillermo del Toro, Marc Guggenheim, Kevin Hageman, Dan Gaeman, and Christina Steinberg serve as executive producers on Trollhunters. Chad Hammes serves as producer on Trollhunters.

Trollhunters is part of an overall content deal between Netflix and DreamWorks Animation that also covers How To Train Your Dragon spin-off series Dragons: Race to the Edge, Shrek spinoff The Adventures of Puss in Boots, and the Voltron: Legendary Defender series.

DreamWorks Animation also brought Voltron: Legendary Defender to Netflix, where they debuted the first Voltron: Legendary Defender Season 2 trailer and announced the Voltron: Legendary Defender Season 2 release date. They also debuted as exclusive New York Comic Con Voltron: Legendary Defender poster.

All episodes of Trollhunters will be available on Netflix on Dec. 23, 2016.
