With inside of a week until its premiere, Westworld has released an alternate promotional poster prior to the New York Comic Con event.

The series is an updated reboot of the 1973 film of the same name, originally written and directed by Michael Crichton, but with an HBO-ified advance in technology, cast, and quality.

Set to premiere on on October 2, Westworld is essentially a pleasure-seeking theme park based on the Old West -- with tickets being sold at $40,000 per day making it an available playground to the uber-wealthy.

Those inside the park are androids with no consciousness that have been programmed to grant the visiting patrons their every desire. Westworld is operated by its creator, Dr. Ford played by Anthony Hopkins, who is responsible for keeping everything under control by erasing any cognitive processes from the robots.

The collective of androids pose as outlaws, blacksmiths, bartenders, cowboys, and of course, prostitutes. There are no rules for patrons - they can murder and sexually assault their blood-stained hosts, all while throwing back beer and riding bucking broncos.

Westworld is confirmed for New York Comic Con 2016 on Sunday, October 9th at 3:30 p.m. at the Hammerstein Ballroom for a special screening of the second episode, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy; cast members Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright and Jimmi Simpson.

The cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Clifton Collins, Jr. and Luke Hemsworth.

The one-hour drama series kicks off its ten-episode season Sunday, October 2 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
