Occupy Riverdale Happening In Archie Comics

Archie Comics has officially announced that the Occupy Wall Street Movement will be coming to Riverdale with an Occupy Riverdale story. The Occupy Riverdale storyline will be written by Alex Segura, who is the same writer behind the Archie Meets KISS storyline. Artwork on the series will be by Gisele Lagace. As part of the announcement, Archie Comics revealed a variant cover from Eisner Award winning painter Jill Thompson. The cover shows Archie as usual caught between Betty and Veronica. Betty stands on the side of the 99%, while Veronica and her rich father make up the 1%. The Occupy Riverdale story is scheduled to be published in Archie #635, which had a release date of July 2012. It will be following the Archie Marries Valerie storyline.
