Rare Batman #1 to be Auctioned Off This Week

Holy sales! A longtime comic book collector will be selling what is believed to be one of the 300 remaining copies of Batman #1, featuring the first appearances of iconic characters such as The Joker and Catwoman, this week. Fairbanks, Alaska resident Mike Wheat has placed the super-rare book up for auction through Heritage Auction Galleries, based out of Dallas, Texas. Sales expectations for the book are promising, with a purchase price of over $40,000 not out of the question. In addition to the Batman #1, issues of Batman #2 and Batman #4 will also go under the hammer.
