Report: Mark Millar's Huck, Nemesis Find Movie Adaptation Homes

Just today, we revealed an exclusive variant cover for Huck, Mark Millar's new superhero series with Rafael Albuquerque, featuring a down home, optimistic hero. Now, that hero has a big-screen deal, The Tracking Board reports.

Former WB exec Jeff Robinov's Studio 8 production company will take Huck to the big screen. The movie will then probably be put up with Sony Pictures, who co-funds Studio 8. Millar first teased a possible Huck movie back in July, alongside the announcement of the comic, which doesn't launch until November 18, 2015.

The character and story of Huck is what Millar has described to ComicBook.com as "the ultimate feel-good comic." With the ever-darkening of both comic books and the films inspired by or adapting them, it should be a considerable shift in the market.

Tracking Board also reports that Nemesis, Millar's take on a villainous form of Batman, has been picked up by Warner Bros after initially being at Fox. A Kingsman: The Secret Service sequel is also underway once again bringing Matthew Vaughan and Millar together.
