Rocket Raccoon and Batman Top Diamond's July 2014 Sales Charts

With what is widely understood to be the best-selling comic book of the year so far, Rocket Raccon #1 topped Diamond Comics Distributors' sales charts in July, followed by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Batman #33.
Marvel had two other high-profile #1 issues -- The Legendary Star-Lord and Spider-Man 2099 -- in the top ten as well. DC had just one such issue -- Grayson #1, which came in at #8 just above Star-Lord.
Other titles in the top ten included The Amazing Spider-Man, Original Sin, Justice League and Harley Quinn.
Image and Dark Horse Comics dominated the top ten graphic novel/trade paperback chart, with The Walking Dead taking the top spot and two volumes of perennial bestseller Saga appearing on the list. Marvel and DC each had just one book each on the collected edition chart -- The Wedding of Deadpool for Marvel and Batman Volume 1: The Court of Owls from DC. Bryan Lee O'Malley's Seconds from Random House outperformed both.
