Rosario Dawson Cast As Batgirl In The LEGO Batman Movie

Rosario Dawson is joining the LEGO Bat-Family as Batgirl in The LEGO Movie spinoff LEGO Batman, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Dawson will play Barbara Gordon, opposite Will Arnett as Batman and Michael Cera as Robin. Zach Galifianakis will voice the film's Joker.

LEGO Batman is being directed by Chris McKay, from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith. Chris Miller, Phil Lord, and Dan Lin are producing.

Dawson, a big comic book fan, is hot off of her introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Claire Temple in Daredevil. She'll reprise that role in Marvel's Jessica Jones.

Dawson has also voiced DC Comics' Wonder Woman in the animated feature Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, and the Amazon called Artemis in the animated Wonder Woman movie.
