Principal photography has wrapped on Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D., ABC's pilot based on the Marvel Comics super-spy organization. Showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen tweeted the photograph at left to Instagram earlier today, along with the caption "That's a wrap. #SHIELD". Filming began back on January 23, with Marvel's Ryan Penagos posting regular but very limited teasers from the set throughout. The pilot is being directed by Joss Whedon and is set to air on ABC in the fall. The pilot is widely expected to be picked up for a full season; if that happens, the showrunners may decide to debut the pilot itself at San Diego Comic Con International, as The CW's Arrow did last year. Little is known about the series, except that it will center around Agent Phil Coulson and pick up following the events of Marvel's The Avengers.
