Sarah Shahi Cast As Nancy Drew

Sarah Shahi has been cast as Nancy Drew in the CBS pilot titled Drew.

The actress, best known for her role on Person of Interest, will play an adult version of the teen detective from Edward Stratemeyer's novels.

Here's the synopsis:

Now in her 30s, Nancy is a detective for the NYPD where she investigates and solves crimes using her uncanny observational skills, all while navigating the complexities of life in a modern world.

Shahi's supporting cast includes Vanessa Ferlito as Nancy's former partner at NYPD, Anthony Edwards as Nancy's father, and Felix Solis as an NYPD lieutenant.

Shahi has also appeared on The L Word, Fairly Legal, and Chicago Fire, and is expected to return for the still unscheduled fifth season of Person of Interest.
