Warning: Potential spoilers for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice ahead.

Over at Latino Review, they're pretty sure they have an idea as to who Scott McNairy is playing in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Rumors on the actor's role -- which fans noticed early on had green screen socks over his calves -- have varied from villain Metallo to Jimmy Olsen...but according to the news and rumor site, he's little more than a pawn in Lex Luthor's game.

Fans have seen McNairy sitting in a wheelchair during trailers for the movie, and some rumors had indicated that he would be Jimmy Olsen, injured during Zod's attack on Metropolis but still siding with Superman in the controversy that ensued.

LR says the opposite, though -- not only is McNairy not Jimmy Olsen (who currently appears on Supergirl), but he's in fact a fairly anonymous person who Lex Luthor wants to weaponize to use against Superman as a human bomb.

No idea whether they mean this Human Bomb:

In fact, the story they posit -- that he's handicapped by a Superman-related battle and that Luthor uses that frustration to turn him into a weapon -- is similar to what was done to Jose Delgado, the hero known as Gangbuster, during the '80s.

Delgado, a street-level, Batman-style hero, was seriously injured protecting Lois Lane and lost the ability to walk. When Luthor offered him a suit of armor that would allow him to walk again and enhance some of his other abilities, he jumped at the chance...but it quickly became obvious that that Luthor really wanted was a suit of armor he could control remotely to use Delgado as a weapon.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.
