On tonight's finale episode of the Scream TV series on MTV, the show paid tribute to Wes Craven, who passed away earlier this week.

Craven directed all four of the Scream movies, and he was an executive producer on the Scream TV series. At the beginning of the Scream season finale, MTV aired a short tribute to the legendary horror director and producer.

The tribute consisted of an image of Craven, along with the text, "In memory of Wes Craven 1939 -2015. Thanks for the screams."

Craven passed away from brain cancer on Sunday at the age of 76.
