How did we get here, Big Bird?

That's the question Caroll Spinney, who's voiced Sesame Street's Big Bird for 45 years, asks himself in a spot-on parody of Birdman. In the video, Spinney does his best impression of Michael Keaton's Riggan Thomson character, who's haunted by the comic book superhero he spent his career playing. But instead of a gravely voice running through Spinney's head, it's the high-pitched, kid friendly vocal chords of Sesame Street's flagship fowl.

As Spinney gives into his inner demons, as Keaton does in Birdman, we're just thankful that his particular bird is flightless.

What is it with actors and bird-based characters? Perhaps someone should call Anthony Mackie and tell him to drop the Falcon roll while he still has his sanity.
