Seemingly confirming that he never totally gave up on Shazam when the film seemed dead over the years, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to Facebook to discuss his role as Black Adam.

Once again using the term "anti-hero" to describe the character, Johnson called it "a true honor" to play the supervillain/dictator/sometimes-hero.

"Kneel before his feet or get crushed by his boot.."
This role has been years in the making. A true honor for me to become my favorite comic anti-hero of all time - BLACK ADAM.
Lets have some fun.

Johnson has been rumored, on and off, for Black Adam for nearly ten years.

While Warner Bros. still hasn't officially commented on a Shazam movie, DC Entertainment confirmed today via their fan blog that Johnson's tweet was official confirmation, not just a deal close-to-done as fans have seen before.
