Stan Lee Will Host Avengers Screening at Catalina Film Festival

[/caption] According to the Los Angeles Times, comics visionary Stan Lee, who co-created virtually every character being used in The Avengers, will host a screening of that film on May 5 at the Catalina Film Festival. Tickets for the event will run you more than $1,500, but it's going to benefit the film festival and the Catalina Island Conservancy. Lee will be on hand at the film festival to receive the Ronald Reagan Great Communicator Award on Friday, May 4. The award honors those whose work in film exhibit "a philosophy of individual opportunity, optimism and pride."  He'll also present an award for animation at the festival, and introduce a documentary about himself, then stay afterward to answer questions. The Catalina Film Festival will take place May 4-6 and ticket prices range from $8 to $2,000. We're getting the $8 ticket won't get you into The Avengers.
