Over at the Esurance Facebook page, the online insurance company have partnered up with Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams's Bad Robot to provide fans with a look behind the scenes of the forthcoming sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness. "The goal of this movie was definitely to up the ante as much as we could," Abrams says in the featurette, which you can access by "liking" the Esurance page and navigating through a series of simple steps. "I am more excited than I can tell you. The action in this movie, the scale of this movie is light years beyond what we did in the first movie.

They spoke with actors as well, with Zachary Quinto (Spock) saying that the film was "stunningly beautiful" and Chris Pine saying that the story was "relentless." "This movie was the most fun and challenging experience that I've had--this is like everything I've ever done wrapped in one movie," said Abrams, who was recently announced as the director of Disney's upcoming Star Wars Episode VII. The Star Trek Into Darkness mobile app is currently available for download, but will officially kick off (pardon the pun) on Sunday during the Super Bowl, when the movie will have a commercial airing during the second quarter and the mobile app promises additional access to exclusive content. So, too, does Esurance, who have a progress bar at the bottom of their Star Trek minisite that says "We've got more up our sleeve." Star Trek Into Darkness phases into theaters on May 17.
