Star Wars and College Sports Merge for New Gear

"It's beginning to look a lot like Star Wars... everywhere you go!"

Star Wars is everywhere right now, and that includes sports. Debuting a trailer during Monday Night Football was just one part of the merger between these two things that were once disparate. Baseball and Hockey teams have "Star Wars Days" and marching bands play the Imperial March during games, and more of John Williams' soaring score during halftime.

Now our sister-site 24/7 Sports has opened up an entire Star Wars section of their college sports store, with shirts, mugs, banners, and more of your favorite team and your favorite franchise. I have to say, it looks pretty good in Spartan green (but yes, there are lots of other team options).

After all, it did look like Ohio State underestimated the power of the Spartan Side last weekend. What, too soon?
