Star Wars Episode 7 Summer 2015

How much money will Star Wars Episode 7 make at the box office? Well, one of the world's largest and most respected financial websites just went on record with a $2 billion prediction. According to The Motley Fool, Star Wars Episode 7 will be the next $2 billion movie. So far, Titanic and Avatar have been the only two movies ever to cross $2 billion at the worldwide box office, and both those films were directed by James Cameron. If J.J. Abrams joins the $2 billion club with Star Wars Episode 7, then it will be quite a step up, as so far his highest grossing  film worldwide was Mission: Impossible III which took in $397.8 million. So is The Motley Fool's prediction within the realm of possibility? Well, the previous highest grossing Star Wars film worldwide was Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace, which took in $1.027 billion. That means Star Wars Episode 7 would have to bring in nearly twice as much as any previous Star Wars film to hit $2 billion. Of course, if the original cast returns as rumored and Disney puts major money into the film as The Motley Fool suggests, the $2 billion probably is within reason. Interestingly enough, Forbes predicted awhile back that Justice League, which is also rumored to be targeted for 2015, could be a $2 billion movie. Then, there is also Avengers 2 set for a 2015 release, and with the first movie raking in $1.5 billion surely the sequel can hit $2 billion. Could there be three $2 billion movies in 2015?
