Even though they specifically said they wouldn't do so, the Star Wars team unveiled some new footage at Comic-Con International: San Diego today- but it wasn't a new trailer, instead, a Behind-the-Scenes reel that included some new shots of droids, creatures, vehicles, and the cast and crew.

Debuting at the Star Wars panel, this is viewers' first new look at The Galaxy Far, Far, Away since the second trailer debuted in April.

Presenting the video was director J.J. Abrams, writer Lawrence Kasdan, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, who unveiled the new footage before a live audience.

You can check it out below.

Set thirty years after Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues of the intergalactic saga created by George Lucas. It stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, and Oscar Issac.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 18, 2015.
