Not only did Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series bring Agent Coulson back from the dead, but it appears to have given new life to talk of a live action Star Wars TV show on ABC. Earlier this year, ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee made it clear that a Star Wars TV series was at least something ABC was interested in thinking about. Lee said, "We'd love to do something with Lucasfilm, we're not sure what yet." Well, with ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.IE.L.D. turning out to be a huge ratings success. Blue Sky Disney is reporting that the Star Wars TV series talk is getting a little more serious at ABC. According to the site, the original idea for a Star Wars TV series was to do sort of a dark version called "Star Wars: Underworld." However, with the most recent talk of a Star Wars TV series, it might no longer be the dark, brooding story idea. Apparently, the powers that be are debating over whether or not a TV series would take place in between the Prequel Trilogy and the Original Trilogy or between the Original Trilogy and the Sequel Trilogy. The site warns that everything is still in the batting around ideas stages so things could change. As far as to when the Star Wars TV series would actually hit the small screen, it's still up in the air. It's speculated that nothing would be done before the animated Star Wars Rebels and the Star Wars: Episode VII movie. However, given the success of Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., Disney and ABC could always decide to move faster than anticipated.
