Superman and Wonder Woman Kissing Again in Young Romance Preview

An all-star array of DC Comics creators have joined together to bring you an oversized, $7.99 issue of...romance comics? Well, romance by way of their more standard superhero fare, but yeah. Andy Diggle, Ann Nocenti, Kyle Higgins, Peter Milligan, Gene Ha, Becky Cloonan, Phil Jiminez and more teamed on this week's Young Romance: A New 52 Valentine's Day Special #1, featuring Batgirl, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Catwoman and more. Plus, an Apollo and Midnighter story which, since Young Romance is a property that hasn't been in print for a very long time, has to be the first LGBT love story ever published in the title, right? The Batman/Catwoman romance is an interesting one--in spite of the fact that it takes place following the events of Death of the Family, which concludes with next week's Batman #17, the central conceit of the first few pages at least is that much of the story happens in flashback--allowing DC to tease a few pages of the  tale without endangering the heavily-protected ending of Death of the Family. Check out the solicitation information and preview pages below.

• Romance is in the air in this very special Special! • Wonder Woman consults Eros himself about her feelings for The Man of Steel. • Barbara Gordon has always been too busy for romance, but could her role as Batgirl bring her back to the first guy she ever kissed? • Following the events of "Death in the Family," how can Catwoman ease Batman's troubled soul? • Aquaman makes waves as he treats his wife like a queen for a day. • From the pages of STORMWATCH, Apollo and Midnighter celebrate Valentine's Day separately but with each other in mind. Who—or what—stands between them? • Dick Grayson and the daughter of Lucious Fox meet-cute! • Plus: Perforated Valentine's Day cards featuring the stars of these stories!
