Supernatural: Tribes

, the anticipated spinoff to the hit CW series, will now be called Supernatural: Bloodlines, the network announced yesterday. While doing so, they announced the hiring on of Melissa Roxburgh as a female lead on the series, which will get a backdoor pilot on the April 29 episode of Supernatural. Roxburgh is no stranger to genre fare, having appeared in a pair of episodes during Arrow's first season and been featured in two Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies. She also appeared on a 2012 episode of Supernatural, according to IMDb, but that character's name was Lila Taylor, and The Hollywood Reporter says she'll now play Violet, a werewolf with "forbidden love" for a family rival. She joins a cast that includes Nathaniel Buzolic, Lucien Laviscount, Sean Faris, Danielle Savre and Stephen Martines. Supernatural: Bloodlines is described as a sweeping drama about the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly to humans "run" the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by a newly minted Hunter who is trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.
