Ted 2 Trailer Super Bowl Preview

Universal Pictures is set to release their Ted 2 trailer during the Super Bowl today, giving viewers their latest look at the next installment in one of the most improbable big-money franchise films ever made. Ted 2 is a massively-successful R-rated buddy comedy about a middle-aged man and his foul-mouthed, living teddy bear.

Few details were available before now about the plot of the film, which is expected to be one of the biggest tentpole comedies of the year. We now know that the film will revolve largely around Ted's quest to be recognized as a person in the eyes of the law so that he can enjoy the same civil rights that humans do.

The first Ted generated $550 million worldwide and was the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time.

MacFarlane returns as writer, director and co-star of Ted 2 along with star Mark Wahlberg. Veronica Mars's Amanda Seyfried joins the cast. Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild, who wrote the original, will tackle the script.
