Thanks to the Chuck Lorre Family Foundation plus cast and crew of The Big Bang Theory, twenty college students seeking Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) degrees at UCLA have scholarships this year. The students, seven female and 13 female collectively called "Big Bang Theory Scholars," were brought to the set of the show at Warner Bros. Studios this week, where they met with the stars and producers of the show and were awarded their scholarships.

The Big Bang Theory Scholarships were awarded to STEM students who were already admitted to UCLA "on their own academic merit," a press release says, but need additional financial assistance.

The Scholarship and Endowment fund created and raised by the cast and crew, WBTV, and CBS has raised over $4 million so far, and they hope to run the fund in perpetuity.

The Big Bang Theory airs on CBS Mondays at 8/7c, but returns to Thursdays in that timeslot on November 5, 2015.
