The sudden death of four-time Academy Awards nominee Philip Seymour Hoffman has sparked an outpouring of grief and shock on social media, and those in the entertainment community are arguably more affected than anyone. Hoffman, widely considered one of, if not the, best actors of his generation, is an artist who inspired strong reactions to his work, and other artists of all stripes have stepped forward to celebrate his legacy and mourn his death. With the ever-tightening bond between comics and Hollywood, many of the best and brightest in the comics industry (as well as a number of those who have played superheroes and other comic book characters onscreen) were among those who poured out their hearts today to talk about how much they would miss the Almost Famous and The Big Lebowski star.
