The Dark Knight Rises: Where Batman Got His Voice

An old video has been making the rounds on social networking and social news sites. It shows Christian Bale using his Batman voice well before any of Christopher Nolan's three Batman films. The video is actually from the 2004 Disney anime movie Howl's Moving Castle. When Christian Bale is voicing Howl, you'll notice it sounds almost exactly like his familiar Batman growl. Howl's Moving Castle was released on September 5, 2004, while Batman Begins wasn't released until June 10, 2005. The Dark Knight followed on July 14, 2008, and the trilogy concluded with The Dark Knight Rises on July 20, 2012.
