The Flash: Behind-the-Scenes Featurette Released

In a new behind-the-scenes featurette for The Flash, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer and longtime Flash writer Geoff Johns heaped praise on series lead Grant Gustin, saying that he's perfect for the role.

"Grant is the perfect Barry Allen becuase he brings a vulnerability, he brings intelligence, he brings humanity to it that superheroes desperately need," Johns said in the video, embedded below.

Other speakers in the featurette include showrunners Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti, who got into the basics of the premise -- The Flash's powers, and the idea of discovering what he can do and how to control it in the first season and especially the pilot.

The Flash will debut on October 7, 2014 on The CW.

Expect much more to come soon as the writers are back at work and Comic Con International: San Diego is in just three weeks.
