The Sixth Gun

co-creator Cullen Bunn just told his Facebook friends, "Today, cameras start rolling on The Sixth Gun pilot!" The pilot, which adapts the Oni Press comic book series by Bunn and Brian Hurtt, tells the story of a young woman who comes into possession of one of six magical guns, and has to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. It was originally optioned by Syfy but when that production fell apart, former Lost producer Carlton Cuse came to the property's rescue and brought it to NBC. The pilot stars Graham McTavish, Laura Ramsey, W. Earl Brown and Aldis Hodge, and is set to debut on NBC in the fall; don't be surprised if it turns up at a Comic Con International screening if the network feels good about it by then. Helheim, a new comic book series described as a "gothic horror" story from Bunn and artist Joelle Jones, hit stores earlier this month.
